ABOUT THE CHOCOLATE: This chocolate is made using direct-trade cacao from the oldest farm in Huila, Colombia. The trees on this farm originate from the early 1800s and produce impossibly-rich cacao. Ricardo Guzmán Álvarez emigrated with his two brothers from Spain to Colombia in 1820. Finding cacao growing naturally on his purchased plot of land, he did what anyone would do—he planted more. This incredible family operation is Finca Casa Blanca; named for the original farmhouse on the property. T
